States General of Green Economy 2024
Economy of tomorrow: the Green Deal at the new european Legislature start
The thirteenth edition of the States General of the Green Economy will be dedicated to the theme of the Green Deal at the start of the new European Legislature in order to propose a discussion of the package of strategic initiatives that set the EU on the path to green transition, in the belief that the transition to climate neutrality can offer significant opportunities for economic growth, new business models and markets, new jobs and technological development.
In particular, the Opening Plenary Session, as it does every year, will see the presentation of data from the State of the Green Economy 2024 Report, which identifies the measures taken in the last European Legislature, considering their strengths and weaknesses, and the knots that arise in this new 10th Legislature and proposals to address them. Key topics include resources to invest, the transition to climate neutrality, the Fitfor55% package, the circular economy, natural capital and ecosystem services, and the Green Deal industrial strategy.
